Amanda Sevy

Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Outside of the therapy room, I’m someone who really values slowing down and being present for the little things. I love spending time with my family, going for walks, discovering a good coffee spot, and finding quiet moments to recharge. I’ll also happily admit that a good reality show is one of my favourite ways to unwind! I think there’s something grounding about the simple, everyday moments, and I try to bring that same sense of warmth and presence into my work with clients.

Supporting others has always felt like a natural part of who I am, and becoming a therapist felt like a meaningful extension of that. I don’t see myself as someone who has all the answers. Instead, I see therapy as a space where we can make sense of what you’re going through together, work through the difficult parts, and help you feel more connected to yourself and more confident in navigating whatever comes next.

Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a space that feels comfortable and judgment-free, where you can show up exactly as you are. From our first session, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and genuinely supported. Therapy can feel vulnerable, and I believe having a therapist you feel safe with is an important part of that process.I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, relationship challenges, life transitions, and other experiences that can leave them feeling stuck or overwhelmed. My approach is person-centred, collaborative, and trauma-informed, with CBT as a primary framework alongside mindfulness, self-compassion, and nervous system regulation. I believe therapy should be tailored to the person in front of me, and I meet each client where they are while working together toward meaningful and lasting change.
