Sarah Tabah
Social Worker
I am a social worker with over 20 years of experience supporting neurodiverse children, teens, and adults. As a neurodivergent therapist myself, I bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to my work, offering a deeply affirming and compassionate space for clients and families navigating life outside the norm.
My approach is neuro‑affirming, individualized, and collaborative. I tailor each intervention to the unique needs of the client, drawing from a range of evidence‑based and manualized therapies when helpful, while grounding my work primarily in interpersonal and systems theory. For younger children and teens (and those young at heart), play‑based and experiential interventions are prioritised to support connection, communication, and emotional expression in accessible and engaging ways.
A central part of my work involves advocacy and collaboration. I have extensive experience supporting students in advocating for themselves within school systems, as well as working closely with families and supports to create environments where neurodivergent individuals can thrive. My goal is always to honour each client’s strengths, autonomy, and ways of being, while fostering confidence, self‑understanding, and meaningful connection.
I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels validating, flexible, and respectful — a place where differences are not just accepted, but affirmed.
